GoIWx CEO powers his way through to second place in the Minnesota Twin Cities CrossFit 2008 "Olympics"
As popularity grows, so does the the number of his reps...
Minneapolis, Minnesota - July 29, 2007 - The new hottest fitness craze is CrossFit. RJ has been involved since January 1, 2008. The first annual CrossFit Twin Cities Olympics was held last night at 7:30 in Maple Grove. There were 10 events that he participated in against other competitors that were 34 years of age or older “The Ultras”. The event drew in men and woman, boys and girls. There was approximately 60 competitors classified into three different groups. Kids, Men & Woman 14 to 33, Men & Woman 34+. The listing of events was as follows:
Over all RJ finished with 33 points which was 2nd place. He's 47 years old while the man that beat RJ for first place is 34 years old. Rj commented "I felt good about my performance and look forward to competing next year".1. 1 mile run for time – 7:18 – 3rd place
2. 50 Wall Balls for time – 1:28 (fastest of all competitors) 1st Place
3. Push Press 1,1,1 – Failed at 195lbs – tied for 1st Place
4. 100 Sit ups for time – 3rd Place
5. 30 Sprawls for time - :53 – 1st place
6. Medicine Ball throw for distance – 20lb ball. Tied for 1st Place
7. Max Pull Ups – 21 – 1st Place
8. 50 Box Jumps for time – 2:32 – 2nd Place
9. Chin over bar hold – :45 – 1st Place
10. 50 yard dash – no time – 2nd Place
Thanks for letting me brag a little. I have worked very hard for 7 months to compete at this level. My wife sent me a text message telling me she is “Super proud of me”
