Partnered hosting provides key advantages for turnkey BI
Minneapolis, Minnesota - June 29, 2009 - GoIWx, a leader in IT hosting, Software Plus Service (S+S) and Software as a Service (SaaS), today announced a strategic partnership with ProfitBase, a technology leader in ready-to-use, rapidly deployed data warehouse, business analytics, budgeting and planning software. The alliance will bring a cost effective, functionally rich integrated Business Intelligence (BI) in a hosted SaaS offering to customers wishing to greatly enhance their business performance reporting capabilities. ProfitBase will be demonstrating the solution with a portal created with GoIWx within their data centers.
The BI component of the solution features certified connector templates that extract data from AX, GP, SOL, NAV and many other business systems including retail point-of-sale (POS) systems. Proven business templates provide comprehensive metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for areas like finance, sales, purchasing and many more. Additionally, for retailers, a comprehensive set of point-of-sale (POS) business templates are available. The POS templates support and extend the National Retail Federation - Association for Retail Technology Standards (ARTS) Data Warehouse standard. ARTS is an international membership organization of retailers and technology vendors whose mission is to enable the low cost, rapid deployment of technology in retail by reducing integration efforts through platform independent and vendor neutral standards.
The BI solution is configured and deployed using ProfitBase 2009, a scalable, rapidly configured data warehouse and OLAP Cube deployment accelerator for Microsoft SQL Server. The ProfitBase 2009 software is used to deploy and easily modify solutions to meet each client's unique requirements. Users are able to display and distribute their metrics and KPIs throughout their organization using dashboard and reporting tools such as ProfitBase InFront Analytics, Microsoft SharePoint Server, and Office among others.
Integration with Dynamics in a hosted environment delivers the breadth and depth of functionality demanded by the busiest companies without the need to build, manage and maintain multiple applications and interfaces. Companies won't have to invest in infrastructure for ProfitBase BI either. Rather, firms can sign onto a SaaS BI deployment strategy which is a predictable monthly "pay for what you use" model.
